Christmas Day in the Wandering Inn. Erin gets homesick from singing Christmas songs. Presents are exchanged.

== Synopsis ==
And then it was Christmas.

Erin wakes at dawn and with the help of Lyonette gets the inn and food ready for the party, cooking everything she could think of. Erin reads the message from Ryoka about her emergency delivery.

Everyone from Liscor arrives, including the individual Antinium apart from Anand who is still working in Esthelm. Soon after the door to Celum opens and Octavia, the actors and Maran and Safry arrive. Klbkch manages to sneak into the inn but Xrn ends up following him anyway and is quickly placated by Erin's deep-fried bee. Surprisingly Hawk arrives as do some of Selys' Drake friends and Krshia's Gnolls. Lastly Zel arrives but not before Ilvriss reminds him to keep an eye out for the Antinium, he sits with Selys and Mrsha despite Pawn also being at the same table.

Erin runs about cooking and serving her guests with Garry's help. Xrn spies the honey and Ksmvr offers his food poisoning necklace to let her try bread. Xrn however just passes a hand over it and copies the spell which Klbkch then attempts to persuade her to cast on him as well.

Erin finds Relc and Welse looking trepidatious and Jasi explains that the two of them broke one of th ewindows while playing a knife flipping game. As she boards up the window Brunkr realises that the Tidebreaker is sitting here, in this inn.

Ulrien notices that Erin is tiring herself with work and says as much to Halrac to which Hawk agrees and says that the inn is too much for just her and Lyonette. They watch on as more and more of the guests make requests for Erin until eventually Revi asks for entertainment. Some of the Liscorians ask Erin to sing so she begins to sing Jingle bells but is hit by memories from home. She follows up with Don't Stop Believing and Silent Night, but her memories catch up to her and struggles to sing Home For the Holidays.

Erin starts to cry, missing home before she runs out of the inn.

Some of Erin's friends try to run after her but are stopped by others. Relc shouts and stops the stampede of people going to Erin, Pisces offers to trail here invissibly to make sure she's safe.

Halrac remonstrates Revi for overworking her and someone points out that Erin's homesick. Ceria tells everyone that they should have been keeping her company rather than doing nothing, but Relc argues that they should leave the inn tomorrow because Erin would willingly take care of anyone who's there if she could.

Selys, distraught, wants to help Erin get home, but doesn't know where she's from. She asks Krshia, but she only explains that she knows but can't reveal anything. Those that don't know that Erin's from Earth begin to speculate, whereas those with the knowledge keep quiet.

When Halrac asks where she came from Ceria whispers that it's the same place as Ryoka - which Zel overhears. Relc explains how she can't be from an island like Ryoka because he and Klbkch first met her and she never mentioned anything about a boat. he tells them about the potential teleportation spell she mentioned but that they hadn't looked into it. Relc tells everyone that she had no levels and talked about running from a Dragon. Relc asks Klbkch if he thought it was a Dragon and Klbkch explains that it's reasonable to believe that it wasn't due to how rare they are.

Grev points out that the Antinium hadn't expressly said that it wasn't a Dragon but that it wasn't likely. Klbkch remains silent and the adventurers are shocked by the confirmation.

Zel confronts Klbkch, stating that if there is a Dragon on Izril then they should know about it. Before a fight can erupt the Halfseekers and Griffon Hunt step up. Ulrien explains that he and Halrac fought in the Antinium Wars, but also against Drakes whenever their armies headed North.

Selys whispers loudly to Lyonette that nobody in the room would be able to stop her uncle, but Xrn speaks up as the strongest in the room and has Klbkch stand down. Xrn tells Zel that she spoke to Sserys in the minutes before his death, but that she didn't kill him. Xrn tells him that if he wanted to know about Sserys' death then he should ask the last of the original Prognugators that survived the war: Wrymvr the Deathless. Zel leaves the inn.

Erin returns while apologising and then the presents are handed out. Erin gives Klbkch a scarf and Relc cookies. Pisces gets a new robe from Ceria and she in turn receives a lump of gold from Ksmvr. Halrac receives honey and a sausage from Mrsha, while Brunkr receives wine from Wesle as they are introduced to one another. Klbkch's present from Relc is a curved dagger and Relc gets a signed receipt from every tavern promising Relc free drinks. Jelaqua receives gifts from her teammates, some liquid soap and a powdering kit.

Klbkch and Xrn return to the Hive, with Klbkch ready to talk to Xrn about why she has arrived. Griffon Hunt agree to leave the inn tomorrow and asks for them to check with their contacts for information about Erin. Typhenous secretly sends a message to Tyrion Veltras when he thought he was alone. Pisces drops his invisibility when Typhenous is gone.

As everyone heads to bed Erin finishes tidying up the room. Lyonette witnesses Erin crying about wanting to go home and she swears on her name that she will someday help Erin. Erin goes to sleep, alone.
