The Roots (Pt. 1) is the 36th chapter of Volume 10. ==tl;dr== * The court of the Fae are watching the events in Innworld via scrying pool. * They are unable to locate Mrsha du Marquin, who had disappeared from even their sight, with Oberon being the only one who can see her. * Mrsha lands on her head. ==Synopsis== Poetry and other mechanisms of similar use are wielded by the Fae as a vessel for sharing greater truth to the beholder in a less potent manner for if it wasn't, the nature of what they experience would distort what is. In the court of the Fae, an ancient thicket of desecrated trees lays there, and within that a court that would host countless millions at one time echoes with silence. Many fae, lesser, greater and oldest, whenever winter arrive would remember their duty and take up the mantle of filling a world with snow and ice in the guise of speckles of floating lights, until recently. Eleven travelers board on a train to a land that was once a hub for many. Four of the travelers died in battle, another left to return to mortality, leaving six remaining as they peruse a world full of stories. Melidore sat at a library mucking about with an Altair 8800 computer, ASR-33 and a CP/M reading old stories and playing old video games. Tired of rehashing the already told stories he decides to upgrade to a more modern device. While Melidore sat there on his smartphone rolling for gacha characters, Ivolethe is reading stories full of monsters and magic yet with a different leveling system that she knows of. She reminisce of a time when the stories of that place used to be so fascinating, that gets interrupted when the huge projector starts to malfunction. The projector gets beaten a couple a times for not showing the right perspective which would Mrsha's point of view. A gnome by the name of Reimesk comes by to fix the problem of the scrying projector and recollects on history of Gnomes and their relationship to the Innworld with Boy Arthur. The group deduces that is it the Faerie Flowers burrowing through the [[Garden of Sanctuary|[Garden of Sanctuary]]] that is causing Mrsha's perspective being unable to be watched. Then all in the crowd directs their attention toward Oberon as the only person who has a very good prediction to where young Mrsha may have gone. He then winces as he witness Mrsha landing on her head. ==Characters== ( * = First Appearance) * Boy Arthur * Young King Arthur * Old King Arthur * Sikeriβval-Toreshio-Maresssui * Nama * Merlin (Mentioned) * Reimesk * * Oberon * Theillige (Mentioned) *Vofea (Mentioned) *Court of the Fae **Melidore **Ivolethe **Shaestrel *Isthekenous (Mentioned) *Ryoka Griffin (Scried) *Foliana (Scried) *Erin Solstice (Scried) *Ulvama (Scried) *Mrsha du Marquin *Kasigna (Mentioned) *Zineryr (Mentioned) ==Location == *Avalon *Izril **The Wandering Inn ***Garden of Sanctuary ****[[Palace of Fates|?
